Quantic Dream is probably famous for its choice-based narrative thriller Heavy Rain, a game which originally released back in 2010 for its PlayStation 3. Since that moment, the team has developed Beyond: Two Souls, to mixed reviews, and so is most recently on the job on Detroit: Become Human, each one after the Heavy Rain formulation of storytelling. Caroline Marchal worked on both Heavy Rain along with Beyond: Two Souls as Lead Game Designer, and now it appears that she’s bringing the lessons she’s learned to some brand new studio.
Marchal is currently Interior Night’s Founder and Creative Director. Along with a couple other “key developers” out of Sony and Quantic Dream, Interior Night endeavors to approach a gambling audience who might not be all that enthusiastic about video games, but that possess a passion for quality storytelling. Storytelling has a way of transcending an audience medium since it is put by Marchal.
“At Interior Night, ” we want to attract a mature TV audience — people who love shows like Breaking Bad or even Fargo however that don’t necessarily game — with first interactive tales. I believe storyline games would be the best genre to reach a broad audience as tales, when done well, are worldwide.”
Interior Night aims to create games that are narrative-driven with a high amount of quality with the abilities gathered from previous experience in the game development business. Nonetheless, the staff wants to continue simplifying the moderate, giving gamers the ability to interact with their matches through immersive and meaningful experiences.
“Interior Night targets at pushing the bounds of what individuals have played up to now, in regard to subject matter and game play. We want to provide broad and bold experiences where people may forget about the mechanisms and concentrate in their emotional connection with the characters and the story.”
It’s currently unclear what platforms it will be about or what Interior Night game will be. But, as stated by the studio website, the team is already working on something, and it promises to become “a mental and enjoyable adventure.”
