That the Commissioner for Education from Nasarawa State, Mr. Ahmed Tijjani, has lamented the terrible conditions of public colleges in the state.
The commissioner, that created the statement said a enormous amount of cash was earmarked for the renovation of schools destroyed windstorm or by thunderstorm adding the joint effort was to create an atmosphere for learning.
According to him, some of the colleges to undergo renovation comprise the Yelwa school, Keffi; Nasarawa, Government College; Wamba, Government College, Amongst Others.
He also said the state government had announced the involvement of professional and qualified teachers, including that class enrolls, dossiers and assessment booklets would be made available.
Meanwhile, the nation Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Secondary Colleges, Mr. Gabriel Agbashi, has expressed worry on the lack of chalk in public universities, describing the current free education of Governor, Umaru Al-Makura as a gimmick.
